Chair-lift Base Station. The chair-lift on Bray Head was constructed in 1950 and operated until 1970. It connected the Cliff Walk to the Eagle's Nest and was a popular tourist attraction. Aidan, good point but Raheen Park is under construction which would verify the year is 1953. Also, I checked the image reference numbers. This batch XAW052201-XAW052215 is dated '1953' but the previous batch up to XAW052186 is dated 6th September 1953 and the subsequent images from XAW052216 are dated 8th September 1953, so it is likely that the batch including this image was taken on Monday 7th September 1953, +or- 1 day.
