The building shown here was a hospital and built in the 1890's, providing beds for children. The hospital changed to St Mary Magdalene Home but changed again when it became part of the NHS (National Health Service) to 'Hunter's Moor Hospital'. It closed in 2007 and is now the site of a new Dame Allan’s School. '
