' This may be an Avro Lincoln beside 2 Bristol Freighters. The Lincoln's wingspan was 120ft, compared to 108 ft for the Freighter and 102 ft for a Lancaster. The 4 engined aircraft here certainly appears to have a greater wingspan than the Freighters. Avro Lincolns were used at Filton for flight testing Bristol engines - see 'Filton Airfield Through Time' by Andrew Appleton, Amberley Publishing Ltd. '
