J Caunt and son, hardware and oil shop. Opened in 1911. Mr Fred Caunt took it over from his father after WW2. I was friendly with his son and so worked there on Saturday mornings from about 1970 to 1976. It closed in the early 1980s when Fred retired and has now been refurbished as an Estate Agents. It is one of the oldest buildings in Kentish Town. '
