' Military huts. Crewe Hall was used for various purposes during WW2, at one point it was the regional AA gun command, the American army had a spell there, some POWs were kept there. At the time of the photo there may have been some Poles awaiting resettlement rather than return to Poland after serving in British army/RAF. '
