2nd 3-car train converging two running lines beyond here. A junction or a station with several platforms seems to be just off-picture to the right (west?).

Train consisting of a three car unit with no visible locomotive on a main running line suggests to me that it is probably an electrified line. This narrows down the location.

I have searched every length of the 1931 southern railway electrified lines to no avail.

Me too, must think about the Liverpool and Newcastle electrified lines now.

EPR000425 is of The Doncaster Corporation Sewage Works off Doncaster Road and environs, Doncaster, 1934

Personally I don't think that this photo was taken within 100 miles of Doncaster.
