The large building beside this "pin" is the pavilion for the Union of South Africa. In this open area to the side of it were displayed live ostriches (you can just about see them if you enlarge the image. The aerial view from the south-west does not show-off the Dutch style front of the pavilion, which can be seen in this postcard (from the Wembley History Society Collection at Brent Archives). |
