This area of land became the site of the block of flats known as Lampton Court. It was my home until 1968. On the opposite corner of Lampton Avenue, where the new flats are now, was a car showroom and garage. The pub almost directly opposite Lampton Court used to be called 'The Jolly Farmer'. '
