Stables and stores, Nos 9-11 Brandon Street, Glasgow These premises were built in 1896 for Mair & Dougall, bottlers, whose main premises were in Annfield Street, nearby. The firm no doubt kept a fleet of horse-drawn delivery lorries, based in this building. This shows the building from the south-west. The delivery lorries would have been kept on the ground floor, with the stables above, as suggested by the row of roof-ridge ventilators. The stone frontage was probably to fit in with adjacent tenements. This building was apparently disused in 1967, and was demolished soon after. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN. '
