Harman & Son Pawnbrokers, Jewellers, Mens Outfitters and Furniture Shops - with awnings down. (86-94 Park Street). Founded 1886 as a pawnbrokers by Henry G Harman and Frederick Shoosmith, and expanded in the 1920's into Bourne's Hat Factory (additional Furntiture Shop) which you can see next door (north) the other side of School Walk. This latter was used as an auction house during WW2. The main shops were destroyed by the council for a viaduct in the early 1970s but the hat factory remains next door and is now student accommodation for Luton University. '
