Police box J35 was installed January 6th 1936 and situated in Roding Lane Buckhurst Hill by the railway bridge next to a WW2 Air Raid Siren.
The police box and siren remained in service throughout WW2 and into the Cold War. It was originally connected to Woodford Police Station and later to Loughton when the boundaries changed. The police boxes became redundant in 1970 and J35 was removed October 2nd 1970. '
