' This factory was built just after WW1 by the Watford Manufacturing Company (successors to Dr Tibbles' Vi-Cocoa Ltd). The cost of the development over-extended the company's finances and forced them into liquidation. The factory building was eventually acquired by the British Moulded Hose Co. in 1929. There was a large fire there in 1961, but after fire damage repairs, production resumed at the site. British Moulded Hose Co. remained there until 1977, after which the building was demolished. Curiously, a previous factory building on the site had burned down in 1903, while in the ownership of Dr Tibbles' Vi-Cocoa Ltd . '
