Blacklaw Farm
The home of Mrs Jean Cameron, a staunch Jacobite who had come from Glen Dessary in Inverness-shire. She lies buried at the end of a road also called Glen Dessary, marked by the Jean Cameron Cairn. Her house was demolished in 1958. East Kilbride Golf Club had their course at Blacklaw between 1910 and 1967, before the land was developed for housing. Mount Cameron Primary School has a Gaelic-medium unit. '
