Middleton Junction Station. This was originally known as Oldham Junction Station. Middleton's first station was at Mills Hill now the location of the present station. The main line was from Victoria Station Manchester to Rochdale and onto Yorkshire. The branches were to Oldham Mumps and to Middleton Station, Townley St.
