This is the earlier church, restored circa 1880 and subsequently destroyed in a fire in 1950. The tower is circa 14th Century with the castellations rebuilt around 1980 after they became unsafe.

Codsall Road, heading to The Fieldhouse Pub (now known as The Claregate) and onwards to Codsall. Not much of an incline.

Great Aunt Daisy's cottage. Later destroyed by fire. She was rescued and, when recovered, went to live with a surprise daughter! She bequeathed me her Toby jugs which also survived the burn.

If the builders of this church followed the "rules" about orientation of church buildings (i.e. east/west), then this photo was taken late morning (I think) [judging by the shadows], from the South.

This is a view of Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. The church was partially rebuilt after a fire in 1950 so it looks a bit different.

Hi RichardW, you have added another unlocated image to your collection with this one. We'll update the catalogue and post the correct data here in due course. You may like to know that the original Aerofilms Ltd Register entry for this glass plate is "?Burley-in-Wharfdale, nr. Otley". Thank you!

Wealthy area. Lots of large houses. Some old houses which would be listed. One medieval/tudor timber framed building. Large church with large churchyard so assume not a small village.
