Not quite correct as A V Roe had an earlier aeroplane shed from 1907-08 on the opposite side of the Track at the foot of Members' Hill; replicas of that shed and the Roe biplane that it housed were built in 1988 for the then new Brooklands Museum. The sheds shown in this photo formed the Aero or Flying Village which expanded rapidly between late 1909 and the start WW1. |
