There is a large depression/hole in the woods here. We were told as kids that a V2 flying bomb landed here during WWII (not sure if it's true but interesting all the same)

Manor park field and community hall. Used to have a rose garden section to the north of the field (right side behind the hall).

Stoke Poges Lane - at this point the bottom of Hawthorne Crescent joined it; the estate built to the east of Stoke Poges Lane was started around 1950.

Muddy Lane - had lots of chestnut trees - excellent place to get your conkers.

Methodist Chapel - my father's side were staunch Methodists from South Wales - my parents moved down to Slough before WWII to get work. I spent many a miserable Sunday afternoon in this place wishing I was outside playing in the sun.
