Kingsbury Green
This common land open space has existed since at least Tudor times (it is shown on a map drawn in 1597 for one of the main local landowners, All Souls' College, Oxford). It was finally adopted and improved by Kingsbury Urban District Council in the 1920's. The photograph attached, from the Wembley History Society Collection at Brent Archives, shows the Green, from Church Lane. '
