The cinema opened in Jan 1913, became the Plaza in 1938 and closed Sept 1939. The building was damage on 30th Sept 1940 when a bomb fell on "The Two Brewers" P/H across the road on the corner of South St, and The Hertford Rd. The cinema remained closed until the late 50s.
