Redcatch Park:Bowling Green and Tennis Courts. This area had been allotments during the construction of the Knowle Park Estate, before becoming one of the valued green spaces in south Bristol, just prior to the Second World War. Wartime bomb shelters were erected in Redcatch Park and later tree planting in the park uncovered remains of at least one shelter and rubble from bombed houses. '
