' Telford Avenue tram sheds. This was the nerve centre for the Streatham Cable Tramway which ran between here and the top of Brixton Hill and later extended to Streatham Village. Opened in 1893 but just 12 years later a new depot was built on the site to house electric cars. In 1912 a second shed was added, the two sheds being separated by a water main that ran between them. 1949 saw work commence on converting the shed to a bus garage ready for service after the last trams ran on 7th April 1951 as part three of Operation Tramaway.
