Bridge carrying the former GWR goods line -- opened on 3 Aug 1923 -- from Mond's Nickel Works, Clydach, to Daren Colliery, Trebanos, across Clydach High Street. Passenger stations projected for Clydach, Pontardawe, and Rhyd-y-Fro were never built (the original plan had been to continue the line to Gwaencaegurwen). Daren Colliery closed in 1964 and the line was closed and the bridge demolished soon afterwards. '
