' Chester Cathedral - or more properly, Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Grade 1. Dates from 1093 but modified many times. Extensively "restored" in the 19th Century. Facing us in this image is the very large South Transept with the South door. The Choir is to the right of the central tower, and further to the right is the Lady Chapel. '
