This is a very interesting moment in time, probably early in 1931. The buildings marked here, on the south side of Kingsbury Road, are probably the main depot of Messrs Walter Scott & Middleton Ltd, the contractors hired by the Metropolitan Railway to build their extension from Wembley Park to Stanmore. There was a very tight deadline for this project, and by the end of 1932 the line had been opened and Kingsbury Station (on what is now London Underground's Jubilee Line)stood on this site.
You can read about the building of this railway line in an illustrated article in the Brent Archives Local History Resources collection at: http://www.brent.gov.uk/media/387473/Building%20the%20Stanmore%20Line.pdf
The attached photograph, from the article, shows a cutting being excavated, for the line through Kingsbury Station, just to the south (top right)of the depot. '
