Slades Hill Valley WWII Anti-Aircraft Gun Site. Spoil from nearby road construction was used, in the 1970's to fill the gun emplacements that were several feet below ground level. Those concrete emplacements and the associated road network are, therefore, still there - under tons of landfill. Perhaps one day it all may be 'found' again... '
