' West House. Built in the late 18th century as a residence for the Norris family. In 1913 it was donated to Halifax Corporation and coverted for use as offices. From 1914 to the 1960s it was the HQ of the Local Education Authority. The building still stands (2013) and is used as commercial offices. '
