That's an interesting observation, it probably means that they've just come up a substantial hill, an extra horse would have been hitched onto the front in this way to assist. You're right, it wasn't usual to harness horses up in this way for any other purpose. |

Maybe the two drivers have just parked up and gone to the pub for a quick half! Or have gone to have a look at what possibly looks like a car with people around it back down the street? |

They may have been delivering to the building on the corner of Mill Street. It was probably an inn then - it is the Palmers pub the Three Horseshoes now. |

Lots of light stone cottages with thatched roofs. A rural village location. Dry stone walls. Cotswolds etc? Suggest taken during harvest time. |
