I seem to remember reading somewhere that the proximity of this studio to the railway line and Elstree Station caused problems when the switch-over from silent to sound films took place i.e. the advent of the "talkies" and that a "look-out" was posted (on the studio roof?) to warn of approaching trains. Noisy things, steam engines! |
