View is looking north. Long Lane Covert can be seen in Old Maps on 1:10560 maps of the area and is a distinctive shape. |

Hi all! Thanks for your help - as with so may Aerofilms Ltd photos, this falls between two Ordnance Survey map revisions so it has captured some of the old and the beginnings of some of the new...We'll update the catalogue, and post the new location data here in due course. Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |

The Gipsy Moth was registered in July 1939; withdrawn from use in July 1939. It had several owners. The first owner: Malcolm Campbell Ltd |

Hmm, the last one left in the flight. The flight direction seems the same - roughly northwest. I can't spot it at the moment, though. |

Well done on this flight! I found this one by looking at the Old Maps site. I found Long Lane Covert which disappears under housing in the mid 30's. It is a distinctive shape. |
