Pickford's Depository was to be built here and it included a flight of steps from the bridge, down to Herga Road. |

"Coronet" may have been its original name. I think it was rebuilt later in the 1930s in art deco style and called the Herga - an ancient name for the Harrow area. Closed after a rather spectacular fire one summer Saturday afternoon about 1961-62 if memory serves. |

Yes it was the Coronet, originally called the Bioscope when it was built in 1910 and changed to the Coronet in the early 1930's. In 1939 it was rebuilt as the Herga but only stayed open until 1961. It is now a retail unit. |

The Coronet, before it was rebuilt and became the Herga, before it burnt down and then became Norlond builders' merchants and the a Japanese hi-fi distributors, (I think) |
