I think the Abutments may be from this Bridge.

Is this (and it's partner across the railway line) a bridge abutment? Maybe part of a never-completed bridge over the railway? There does not appear to have ever been any road across the railway here showing on any old maps either, and these are shown on a post-war map, but later disappeared. |

Could the abutments possibly be these holding this bridge? (hopefully the links will open) http://maps.bristol.gov.uk/knowyourplace/images/her_pc/6187.jpg http://maps.bristol.gov.uk/knowyourplace/images/her_pc/6771.jpg Stuart. |

Amazing this was ever caught on camera. First meeting June 1928 a final creditors meeting was held in the October. The GRA refused a licence, apparently because there was already one track in Bristol and another under construction. The track was horseshoe shaped rather than oval and the hare unusually ran in the centre of the track. |
