His uncle, John Oldred Scott (1841 to 1913), was the architect for St Sophia's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Moscow Road, which can also be seen in this image. |

John Oldred Scott (1841 to 1913), was the architect for St Sophia's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Moscow Road. His nephew, Giles Gilbert Scott (1880 - 1960) the prolific architect whose works included Liverpool Cathedral, Battersea Power Station and the K2 and K6 red telephone boxes, also designed Chester House, Clarendon Place, Paddington, as his own home. It is just visible on the far right of this image. |
