Bankhead Primary School
During World War 2 the school was used as a First Aid and Air Raid Warden's post.
On the night of Thursday 13 March 1941 during the Clydebank Blitz, the school was hit by a parachute mine resulting in the death of 39 people including a 5 year old boy.
A memorial plaque has been erected in the school in their memory.
