Williamson Terrace flats were built here, in the mean time they erected prefabs.

My mate lived here, he painted a skull and crossbones on the outhouse door at the bottom of the garden, he used glow in the dark paint, a bit spooky at night walking down the bank, that was in 1961 and there were no other building around and no street lights. We once rode through to the Tyne to see the tunnel being built.
