Circular concrete base, likely to have been a war-time (2nd) brick reservoir for fire-fighting. Another one is visible in views of Newhaven Harbour station. |

Pile driver tower (on its side), used for repairing the timber harbour "walls" and jetties. A donkey engine/winch pulley a weight up a slide on the side of the tower, and it was let goto fall down onto the pile being driven in. |

From the seats on the deck, this is probably a "pleasure" boat that did trips from the Palace Pier in Brighton. This could be the "Anzio", an ex-naval craft, most likely a motor torpedo boat. |
