The Sports Ground, home of Bideford AFC (who claim to date from 1946) but here clearly used as a rugby ground. A little to the north is a fully enclosed football ground, nowadays home to Bideford RFC. There's clearly a story here.

Was for the Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore railway. The railway opened 1901 to Northam and 1908 to Appledore. Last train ran March 1917 and locos were requisitioned by the Government. Never ran again - rolling stock and track were sold off soon after the end of WW1 and the track removed.

The carriage shed is a remarkable survivor!
