This was originally the Delicia cinema; built in 1923. Soon after WW2, it was taken over by the BBC. However, part of the right side wing and basement was the Auto Spring Company. It was a wholesale supplier of car components. |

Central Fire Station. Fond memories of fire displays here when they would play jets of coloured water up the hose drying tower to 'The Posthorn Gallop'as the grand finale. |

St Mary's. A lost square of Old Birmingham. By the time this photograph was taken it had already lost its octagonal church and my 4GGrandfather's butcher's shop in Weaman Row. |

It was also the Delicia Cinema before it was the BBC. My Mom & Dad used to go there. It is now EBRI (European Bioenergy Research Institute). They kept the front of the building. |

I have been told that the old public fountain has survived and was re-located. Yet to find it though. |

Good grief. It's the Duke of York PH in Duke Street. Sadly long gone. It was the last street in Birmingham to have its gas lights removed. |
