Model racing yacht boathouse. This building was heavily vandalised during the 1970/80s - People lost interest in this activity and latterly the lake was emptied and the boathouse demolished.The lake was re-filled in this millenium and stocked with fish. It is now used, in the main, for fishing. |

Walton Hall Park, as shown in 1934, was new at this time. The park was officially opened by George V in that year. He also opened the Mersey Tunnel (Queensway) on the same day.You can see that the trees on the boating lake islands, and elsewhere, are new plantings. |
