Installed May 29 1933, and was Retained and Operational with Lothian and Borders Police Force. However that said it has not seen use for many years. Although not seen in this photo, the box was also used as a Siren Point.

| "Sunnybank" council housing, dating to 1928. For whatever reason, No. 3 Sunnybank, the right half of this building, was demolished at some point, leaving only No. 1 and the half which is No. 2. |

The building was demolished due to subsidence, there are the courses of numerous old ditches, drains and a burn running under this land. The subsidence resulted in most of the houses to the south of Lower London Road being demolished in tthe 1960s. |
