Seacombe and Egremont railway station, the terminus of the Seacombe branch of the Wirral Railway, closed in 1963. Soon afterwards, in the late 1960s, the railway cutting was repurposed into the approach road for the Kingsway (Wallasey) road tunnel.

St Pauls Church School. Later an auction house before being pulled down and an enclosed elderly community built. Charles Dickens supposedly taught here for two weeks whilst on a stopover.
