Main Guardroom. The central open space would have served as an exercise area for any prisoners detained in the 3-4 cells in the guardroom.

Airmen's Married Quarters - note the camouflage paint applied even to them. Some MQ's at nearby RAF Coltishall still bore visible traces of camouflage paint when I left the service in 1999!

The 7 H shaped buildings would have been airmen's barrack blocks. Each wing with 1 barrack room per floor sleeping around 16 airmen - could be more with bunk beds. Outside each barrack room was an small single man room for a Corporal. The centre section contained the ablutions and laundry/drying rooms.

The design of the buildings (Barrack Blocks etc) is common to a great many RAF stations of the same era and even in the '70's it was possible, having served at one station, to walk around almost any other station and know which buildings were which even without seeing name plates.
