The Martyrs' Memorial at the junction of St Giles', Magdalen Street and Beaumont Street. Designed by George Gilbert Scott (the grandfather of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of the New Bodleian Library) in 1838 and built between 1841 and 1843.
