The same month this photo was taken, the famous battleship HMS Warspite would run aground here, on the other side of Cudden Point. She would eventually be re-floated in 1950 only to end up wrecked off St Michaels Mount, where she would be broken up in situe in one of the largest maritime salvage operations in British history |
