This was new England Locomotive Depot - It closed to steam in about 1965 - But closed to diesel in 1967/8 and was soon demolished, the large coaling tower by explosives!Coded 35A and then 34E, in it's heyday it was home to over 200 locos, but unusually it never had a loco turntable - Locos used a triangle of track near the depot to turn around.

This line went to Dogsthorpe, Eye, Thorney, Murrow, Wisbech and was removed in the early 1960's - after this time Eye Brickworks were still fed by rail but via a new chord at Murrow. This was from the line that went from March to Spalding.

A "flying junction" so as branch line trains will not hold up main line ones.
