no.1and 3 pitfield st. n.1 original crosby head pub demolished along with 247 next door left of picture,243 (245,241 at rear)and 239 to make way for new crosby head pub ,a chemist,and seckers newsagents fronting on to old street with architect offices above and incorporating shoreditch house 15 storey block of council flats completed for residence around sept to end of year in 1964.the tower block is still standing today in 2023.(i can confirm the history as my parents and brother were the first tennants to reside at no. 25 on the eighth floor in jan 1965.)
