This road is/was an access towards Harmondsworth village
and past Harmondsworth, onward towards the A4 Bath Road.
Its junction with the A4 being to the east of the Peggy Bedford Public House.
This junction at the A4 Bath Road, locally, has become known as Black and Deckers corner, in view of that organisation's premises that were located here, but since demolished. |

Before the construction of the M4 motorway this road was a direct access to the A4 Bath Road, through Sipson village. Emerging at the Sipson Road junction with the A4, just about opposite to The [Three] Magpies Public House, on the A4, adjacent to the then main entrance to London Airport, as it was then called. Later it was re-named London Heathrow Airport, as we know it today. |
