Is this the base of a chimney? There has been much discussion here

concerning a very large chimney in the town centre with a 'cooking utensil' attached! Thinking currently is that it is the location of the town electricity generation station at the turn of the last century, pre-National Grid. |

Windsor Station was one of 200 'stopping stations' in WW1, where wounded and sick men and women were received for onward transfer to local hospitals by car or ambulance. |
