Quite possibly oil storage, Jaycee. There are pipes leading to the generating station. It was a coal fired generating station, but perhaps the oil is to lubricate the turbines. |

First 'F' stock in service on the Met was Feb. 1951. I am struggling to identify some of the other cars stabled there as 'F' stock because the roof patterns and windows. Some look like 'T' stock. |

The two roads in which they are stabled are known as Klondyke Sidings. They were commonly used for the stabling of the loco-hauled mainline formations. |
