The second Canning Town Bridge of 1896. This replaced the original 5 span Iron Bridge of 1810 which was damaged by a collier.
A third bridge was built in 1934 of concrete and to the north of this one. The other side of what is a gas main crossing the River Lea. The 1934 bridge still exists but is largely lost amongst the new road network of the A13 at Canning Town |
