Cleveland Works Laboratories. In 1962 main duties were to analyse coal for water sulphur and ash contents, progress with refining in the OH steel furnaces and slag and iron from blast furnaces. They also had a metallography lab for investigating failures of equipment

I think that this is No 5 Rolling Mill. It was probably used for manufacturing the steelwork of the Sydney Harbour Bridge
